Online Check-in
By checking in, you confirm your presence for your flight, and you choose your seat. Check-in is complete when you receive your boarding pass, which is necessary for boarding your flight.
Online, via mobile telephone, or at the airport… you decide how you want to check in!
Whether you are at home, at the office, or elsewhere, online check-in is quick and easy. No baggage to check in? You can save time at the airport and head directly to your boarding gate.
Online check-in enables you to:
- check in from 30 hours before your scheduled flight time* , up until your flight’s Check-In Deadline,
- choose your seat,
- collect your boarding pass.

5 steps for checking in online
- Identify yourself: Enter your Flying Blue card number, your electronic ticket number or your reservation number.
- Select the flight for which you want to check in, as well as the passenger(s) concerned
- Select your seat using the cabin map. You can either accept the suggested seat or select a different seat by clicking on "Change seat selection". You can also purchase a Seat Plus for extra legroom or additional baggage allowance (see information below).
- Confirm your check-in
- Select how you want to receive your boarding pass: immediate printing (8 1/2" by 11" paper, one-side only), e-mail, or SMS/MMS*. You can also choose to receive it at the airport using a Self-Service Kiosk or at a check-in desk.
You can reprint a copy at home or at a Self-Service Kiosk, or request a new boarding pass at a check-in desk.
* Please note: you can only receive one boarding pass when using the mobile telephone option.

Reserve a Seat Plus
You can guarantee extra leg room when you travel in the Voyageur cabin on longhaul flights* by reserving a seat with additional space in advance or on your departure date.

- in the most spacious rows on the upper deck of the Boeing 747-400,
- next to the emergency exit doors of the Boeing 773 and 772, Airbus A330 and A380.
This service is available to you at the following rates:
- €50 per seat and per flight if the duration of your flight is less than or equal to 9 hours**,
- €70 per seat and per flight if the duration of your flight is greater than 9 hours. per seat and per flight**.
- when checking in online,
- at Air France Self-Service Kiosks in France and the United States (New York, Los Angeles, Washington, Chicago) when printing your boarding pass,
- at Air France counters in the Paris-Charles de Gaulle 2 and Bordeaux airports on your departure date.

*Flights on Airbus A340 aircraft, flights to/from Mauritius and flights departing from Atlanta, Damascus, Detroit, Newark and Seoul are not eligible for this offer. Please note that it is not possible to make a Seat Plus purchase from the following departure cities: Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Birmingham, Bremen, Bristol, Edinburgh, Genoa, Helsinki, Kiev, Leipzig, Ljubljana, Newcastle, Nuremberg, Oslo, Saint Petersburg, Southampton, Verona, Vienna, Vigo, Zurich.
** If your departure or return flight lasts more than 9 hours, the Seat Plus price is €70 per seat and per flight.

Will you need to bring more baggage than usual on your next flight? Purchase additional baggage allowance in advance when you check in online, and pay less than you would at the airport!
Arriving at the airport
Drop off your baggage at the "Baggage drop-off" counter before your flight’s
Check-In Deadline. If you are traveling without baggage, proceed directly to your boarding gate before the Boarding Deadline (last call) indicated on your boarding pass. Please note: if you do not present yourself before the Boarding Deadline, your seat is no longer guaranteed.
